Orders!!

I've been MIA in the blog world. I've been finishing the orders for the art show, completeing a few form Etsy, and making some sweet little birthday gifts for some sweet little girls!

I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't think theres enough hours in the day. To work full time, cook, spend time with the girls, clean, and then have a few moments to my self seems impossible right now. I'm trying to remind myself what the order of priority should be...God, my husband, the kids, then all the cleaning and day to day stuff. Needless to say I need to work on that.

I had a great mother's day, complete with cards galore and  a surprising present on Saturday night! Luke NEVER can wait till Sunday to give me my gift. Last year he cracked either the Thursday or Friday before, this year it was Saturday evening. It really cracks me up, and not only can he not wait, he talks about how much I'm gonna love the gift from the time he buys it to the time he gives it to me! I'm not exactly sure who is more excited about the gift... him or me! ;) I loved all the cards that the girls did for me a t church and playschool, it makes me feel real special to see things they created just for me!
And the best gift ever!! Some boots I have had my eye on for a while! I was actually shocked he got them, I ad no idea! I can't wait for the chance to wear them!

A few of the things I've made recently:

Peace, Love, and Cute Clothes!! Great dress to lounge around in, or wear over a bathing suit!
Straps button in back of dress. Elastic added to add great fit!

Love my niece! She's so purdy! The hubby and I went to the Metrolina Expo in early May, and I bought a couple yards of some vintage fabric, and a vintage pillowcase and I made something I Love!
This dress is something I really enjoyed making! And good news... Maxie Claire likes wearing it too! Close ups to come later! Well... all those dirty clothes in the laundry room are calling my name!

Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow to show a sweet little peasant dress after a birthday party!

Sunday Fundays!

We played hookie this Sunday and missed church... bad I know, I was pooped from Saturday's show, (and not a good reason clearly). I thought Luke, the girls, my niece, and myself would play outside, lay around and relax. Exactly what Sundays are for!

I had brought in my stash form Saturday's show and the girls wanted model everything, so why not capture this moment with my bff...Nikon D60! They truly all looked so cute and seeing all three of them wearing things that I had created made my little heart so happy! I couldn't quit saying, "Look Luke! They're all wearing my clothes!" As if he didn't have eyes. He puts up with ALOT! :) We unloaded the truck and used some of the props for giggles, maybe the funniest/meanest shots of the day:

Don't worry no children were harmed in the making of these photos! It was a switch, as soon as the feet hit the ground, she gave me the evil eye and she was fine!
This one below doesn't show the outfit that well. I just loved what she was doing. I'm not real sure if I will list this outfit on Etsy, the supplier I bought the fabric from doesn't have anymore in stock and I've only been able to find a couple yards here and there. If you are interested in this one message me and I'll create an invoice for you.
And this is the "Woman! Leave me and my Sprite be!" She drank it right up!! I love the colors of this outfit, it's fun, funky, and comfy, everything my girls love!
And this by far would be my favorite! I'd love to do any color combos you might want, I love a good challenge of pleasin' the mommas!
One of my long time friends just had a baby on the 28th, and I'm gonna take pictures of her new addition! So excited to really "play" photographer and catch some precious memories of her! I might even have to make her the smallest, itty bitty dress I've ever done to wear!

I wish all of you who are mothers a very happy and peaceful Mother's Day! I hope you get a day of relaxation, no fussy babies, no filthy house to clean, no meals to cook, and a real long nap on Sunday afternoon! Now back to reality, Ido  hope you enjoy your day with the ones who made you a mother in the first place!

Art on the Square!

Well I did it! I survived my first Art Fair and didn't break anything, lose merchandise, or scare off any customers! Woo hoo!! I think I had a great booth display that was light and colorful. I'll let ya'll be the judge of that!

I had so much fun and learned some new things for my next shows. I def. need to stock up on inventory before going! Some people don't mind placing orders at shows, but alot don't likie! Oh and FOR SURE there will be some boy items coming out soon! I have had alot of inquiries for boys clothes so I'm gonna deliver!! I really wish there was a way to get some input on what the people, AKA: Mommas, want to see in cute children's clothing. Until I figure that out, I'll keep trying to satisfy who ever I can.

So let's get to the good stuff... pictures!! And alot of them!

I used a freshly painted antique ladder to display the goods! It worked out pretty well.
I had a little coloring station to occupy the kids while the mommas shopped...
I displayed some brooches I made in a vintage bowl. These pins are great! Some have buttons in the center, some have differnt beads in the center. If interested the large ones are $4 and the small ones are $3. Great gifts for mothers day!
The ladder worked well to keep the clothes seperated and allow enough space to easily look through them.
I can't wait till that puppy is full of clothes!

The tags! Care instructions are on the oppisite side.

One of my new favorite pieces!

And last but not least the mannequins, I'll be adding about two or three more of these to make a little stuffed family! They really help to show how the close will look on your child and not just on the hanger!

If you have any questions about any of the pieces in the post, email me the size and i can send you pricing!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and I hope I can see each of you some time or another at a craft/art show near you! Thanks to each person that stopped by my tent and said hello! Encouragement is a beautiful thing!
